Shahid Ismail is a Senior Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. His core areas of practice are civil law, banking law, and labour and service law.
Alongside his court work he advises companies on the legal and corporate questions that arise in running an organisation from one day to the next. Much of that work is advisory rather than contentious, aimed at settling a question before it becomes a dispute.
He is a panel lawyer for the Bank of Punjab and for Bank Alfalah Limited. In that capacity he advises them on the transactions and legal questions they refer to him, including transfer of property and the laws related to it.
To keep pace with the changing patterns of advocacy and legal consultancy, he has taken a close interest in the laws relating to white collar crime, cyber crime and cyber security. These are matters the corporate world now faces without exception.
Professional excellence remains the focus of his practice, held alongside the ethics and values that govern the profession. In his own words, law is a profession that requires personal integrity and the zeal to shine.
